Heloisa F. Galbiati Belmonte has a MSC in Microbiology from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and a PhD in Microbiology and Biotechnology from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. After her studies, Heloisa moved to Bergen and transitioned to a role that combined research and lab management tasks, working as a Department Engineer at the Sars Centre. With the experience acquired, she joined a startup (Ocean TuniCell AS) and worked in a similar role. Heloisa joined the DECODE-PD group in 2023 as a Lab Manager for the K.G Jebsen Center and is responsible for operational daily tasks, connecting research and administration within the group.
