Yamila has a MSC in Biomedical and Molecular Sciences Research from King’s College London, and a PhD in molecular biology and bioinformatics from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She did her work on population genetics at the Rothman lab working also at the University of California Santa Barbara. She moved to Bergen in 2016 to work as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Valen lab, and since 2020 she is our Research Adviser working for the Neuro-SysMed Centre. She supports us in research project development, training, strategy, innovation, and application writing.
