Kunwar is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Bergen. He did his PhD in Martinez’s lab at the University of Bergen and studied posttranslational modification and protein-protein interaction involved in the function and regulation of aromatic amino acid hydroxylases with implications in dopamine-related neurological disorders. He has expertise in various cellular and molecular biology techniques, confocal imaging, and target-based and phenotypic drug screening. Currently, his work focuses on screening for small-molecule compounds (drug repurposing) with therapeutic potential to enhance mitochondrial complex I targeting mitochondrial dysfunction in PD.
