Andrea Gremes

RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Andrea Gremes holds a Master’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Innsbruck, Austria. As part of his Master’s thesis, he conducted in vivo experiments to assess the distribution of a viral vector used in gene therapy for mesial temporal lobe epilepsy. He has experience with stereotactic surgery in mice, fluorescence microscopy, primary neuron culture, nuclei isolation, and 10x genomics single nuclei sequencing protocols. Currently Andrea is involved in the optimization of the α-synuclein seed amplification assay in our lab as a tool for sensitive diagnosis of PD and other α-synucleinoaphies.
